Organic Research

Organic foods are grown in accordance with certified organic standards that prohibit the use of synthetic pesticides and fertilisers and exclude genetically modified organisms. In livestock production, growth-promoting hormones are not permitted and the routine use of antibiotics is restricted. Organic processing standards also exclude irradiation and limit food additives to those permitted under organic certification requirements.
Organic Research
Organic foods are grown without artificial or synthetic pesticides or fertilizers.  Routine administration of antibiotics and/or growth-stimulating hormones are also not used.  Regulations governing the production of organic foods dictate that they are processed without recourse to irradiation or chemical food additives and are not grown from genetically modified organisms.
